This modern two-bedroom suite sits on a peaceful mountainside property with expansive ocean views. While the property overlooks the ocean, islands, and mountains, the suite itself enjoys tranquil forest views and beautiful sunsets through large windows and skylights.

The bright, light-filled suite features real hardwood floors, sloped ceilings, and baseboard heating. The living area includes a flexible modular sofa that can be arranged to suit your needs. A loveseat can accommodate a younger child for sleeping if needed, as the cushions can be removed to create the width of a single bed.

Both bedrooms feature sloped ceilings and opening skylights that bring in natural light and fresh air. If you are sensitive to early morning light, you may wish to bring an eye mask.

The suite can accommodate up to four adults and one child, or two adults and up to three children.

The fully equipped European-style kitchen includes a two-burner induction cooktop and a convection microwave oven that can be used for both traditional cooking and microwave use. The kitchen is also stocked with basic cooking essentials such as spices and olive oil. A large window beside the expandable dining table brings in natural light and views of the surrounding forest.

A desk and chair provide a comfortable workspace for guests visiting for business or remote work.

The suite has its own private entrance and a cedar deck with a BBQ and seating, offering a quiet outdoor space to relax.

Laundry service is available by request for guests staying one week or longer for an additional fee.

The property sits on 10 peaceful acres and invites guests to explore the surrounding forest, a serene pond, a seasonal waterfall, a blooming orchard, organic gardens, and a loop walking trail. Several outdoor gathering spaces and fire pits are available for relaxing evenings outdoors, subject to local fire regulations during your stay.

Because this is rural land, wildlife is common in the area. Children must be supervised at all times, especially near the pond and when exploring the property.

Our friendly Australian Shepherd lives on the property and enjoys meeting guests.

Halfmoon Bay is centrally located between Sechelt and Madeira Park. Sechelt offers full shopping and services, while Madeira Park provides access to islands, marinas, and many natural areas. Our home sits just above the Sunshine Coast Highway in a quiet area.

We are about 20 minutes from Sechelt and about 15 minutes from Madeira Park, making this a convenient base for exploring the Sunshine Coast.

The property is within walking distance of trailheads, including Homesite Creek with its beautiful waterfalls.

Public transportation reaches the Sunshine Coast via BC Ferries and a bus from Langdale (Gibsons) to Sechelt. From there, a car, motorcycle, or bicycle is needed to reach the property, which is located 2.3 km off the highway up a winding road. If you do not have a vehicle, ride-share service “Coastal Rides” and local taxis are available.

For essentials, the Halfmoon Bay General Store is about five minutes away by car and offers groceries, a small liquor store, and a café overlooking Halfmoon Bay.

The property is on well water with a modern ultraviolet filtration system that provides excellent drinking water. As with many rural properties, water conservation is appreciated, particularly during the summer months.
