This cozy space is perfect for one or two guests and can accommodate up to two adults and two children. One well-behaved pet is welcome.

The loft ladder hooks onto the bookcase, leading you to the charming loft bed. The double bed, little window for evening airflow, and sloped ceiling make this cozy loft truly magical. We’ve set up a mirror at the foot of the bed so you can enjoy looking out the window while sitting in bed. The loft also includes a removable rechargeable light that works well as a reading lamp.

Inside, the custom couch converts to a double bed and includes three large pull-out storage drawers. A small closet with pull-out shelves sits just inside the entrance for clothing and personal items. The live-edge maple countertop is a beautiful focal point, paired with a compact cubic mini wood stove that adds warmth and charm.

A fold-down table overlooking the woods provides a quiet place to enjoy a drink, read, or catch up on emails.

The kitchen is equipped with an inset two-burner propane cooktop, pots and pans, a kettle, a coffee pot, and cooking utensils. Just outside, an outdoor barbecue station offers additional cooking options.

Designed for indoor-outdoor living, the cabin features a large covered deck and a bar counter outside the kitchen window so cooking and gathering can flow easily between the indoor kitchen and outdoor barbecue area. Solar lighting creates a warm ambiance in the evening.

The cabin has power for lighting and a bar fridge. A simple rain-collection system supplies water for washing, while a Berkey water filter provides clean water for drinking and cooking.

A pee-only toilet is available inside the cabin for nighttime convenience, while a full composting toilet and shower are located just steps away in a separate structure.

Guests enjoy a fully private indoor space along with a secluded outdoor area designed for relaxation and connection with nature.

The cabin sits on 10 peaceful acres surrounded by forest, a serene pond, a seasonal waterfall, a blooming orchard, and a loop walking trail. Several outdoor gathering areas invite you to relax, read, or simply enjoy the quiet surroundings. Fire pits are available throughout the property for evenings under the stars, subject to local fire regulations during your stay.

The property is within walking distance of local trailheads, including Homesite Creek with its beautiful waterfalls. Nearby are hiking trails, off-roading areas, and the entrance to Smuggler Cove Provincial Park just minutes away. The nearest beach access and convenience store are about six minutes away by car.

For essentials, the Halfmoon Bay General Store is about five minutes away by car and offers groceries, a small liquor store, and a café overlooking Halfmoon Bay.

Public transportation reaches the Sunshine Coast via BC Ferries and a bus from Langdale (Gibsons) to Sechelt. From there, a car, motorcycle, or bicycle is needed to reach the property, which is located 2.3 km off the highway up a winding road. Ride-share services such as Coastal Rides and local taxis are also available.
